Ballet:

Ballet is a classical dance form of grace and precision. It has been globally influential and the foundational techniques are used in many other dance genres.

Classes start from the age of two and a half for our Baby classes taught by Liz and Cheryl. Students will then progress through the Graded Examinations, taught by Liz and Naomi, of the sylabus from the ISTD or RAD exam bodies.

Modern:

“Modern Theatre dance is a rhythmic dance style which originated in America before travelling to the rest of the world. It is often seen on the stages of musical productions and is known for its theatrical qualities. The style uses travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns which all need strength and flexibility. This is a highly energetic dance style.” – ISTD

Our classes in modern start for children of the age of 4 with our beginner classes taught by Naomi on a Friday and our new classes taught by Liz on a Saturday morning. The ISTD Graded Sylabus is taught throughout the week at Trinity.

Tap:

“This has evolved as an American dance form, popularised throughout the world, with debate about its origins coming from African dance, Irish dance and/or clog dancing. The dancer uses their feet to strike the floor, beating out different rhythms, with dancers wearing tap shoes which have small metal plates on the toe and heel to give the distinctive sound. Tap dance is a theatrical art form often seen on stage in musicals.” – ISTD

As with Modern, our Tap classes start at the age of 4. The ISTD syllabus has recently been updated and all new Graded Sylabus has been introduced with exciting new routines. A very popular genre for all of our students.

Foundation Course:

We now offer a new course for students aged 14+, check out the full details on the Foundation Course Page.
